Sexual Culture
Eazy-E mentions that success, by way through having had relations with several women before his wife at the time may have been too good to him. Insinuating that his history with women was what caused his contraction of AIDS. Eazy-E's misogynistic lyrics in his music and comments on his history of sleeping with many women is a reflection on the mechanics of sexual culture in the Black community, the casual, male dominated environment is a factor in how AIDS effects individuals from communities like Eazy-E where gangster rap is popular.
Timothy DuWhite goes into detail about how he fears his own body as a sexual being. Stating that he fears himself more than others do, and that fear contributes to his hatred towards his own body. He also mentions that his boyfriend is taking PrEP, a daily medication that reduces the risk of contracting AIDS. That tells us that his partner must have the health care access for it and shows that even those with access to health care experience the very physical and psychological effects of living with AIDS/HIV.
